Henry Mwinuka has been appointed as assistant coach of the Rwanda Basketball National senior team

In a press release, Rwanda Basketball Federation announced that Henry Mwinuka, a Tanzanian coach, has been named as the first assistant coach in the men’s national team.

The current REG BBC coach has replaced Maxime Mwiseneza and no other changes have been made with the head coach or the second assistant coach. The team will continue to be led by Vladimir Bosnjak as a head coach with Henry Mwinuka and Aimée Karim Nkusi the first and second assistant coaches.

These changes have no purpose other than to add Henry Mwinuka’s experience to the technical staff as Rwanda prepares for FIBA Afrobasket 2021. These preparations for the team will begin with the Qualifiers expected in November 2020 for Rwanda to host Group D ( Nigeria, Mali, Rwanda and Algeria).

As a reminder, coach Henry Mwinuka won 3 Rwandan league titles with Patriots.
