Rwanda national volleyball team player Yakan Guma Lawrence has signed a two-year contract with Gisagara Volleyball club after nearly five years with Japanese side Oita Miyoshi Weisse Adler.
This is not the first time he is going to play for Gisagara VC as he helped them in the 2019 Genocide Memorial Tournament and before the new season of 2019/2020 begun, it was announced by the team management that he will play for them even though Yakan ended up returning to Japan.
Yakan is currently the longest serving player in the men’s senior national team and had previously played for Uganda’s Sport-s, Kigali VC (Rwanda), APR VC (Rwanda), Etoile Sportif (Algeria), Palandoken Belediye (Turkey) and Oita Miyoshi weisse adler
