Aganze scores 23 in UGB’s win over the Tigers, IPRC Kigali beats Shoot For The Stars

Espoir Aganze Bazihima was instrumental in United Generation Basketball, UGB’s 76-64 win over Tigers BBC, on Sunday afternoon at Amahoro indoor court, Petit Stade.

Aganze, UGB team captain finished the game with 23 points, 14 rebounds, 9 assists, and 3 blocks. His contribution both offensively and defensively earned him the player of the game in a needed victory following a defeat against the Patriots last Friday.

The first quarter ended with a tight score, Tigers trailed UGB by one point, 15-16. At the break, UGB led with 5 points, 35-30.

UGB kept the momentum in the 3rd and 4th quarters too, 22-20 and 19-14 to end the game on a good note. 76-64

In this game, Tresor Muteba scored a game-high 26 points for the Tigers. An exciting game for Muteba who also recorded a double-double as he grabbed 18 rebounds but this was not enough to hand his team a second win of the season.

Earlier, RP-IPRC Kigali played its third game against Shoot For The Stars and again grabbed a three digits win, this time with 102-74 on the scoreboard.

Bello Nkanira and Bruno Nyamwasa were leading the team to victory with crucial three-point shoots. In general, Nyamwasa posted 22 points while Nkanira added 17 points and 11 assists.

IPRC Kigali had previously beaten UR BBC 110-42 in their second game of this BKBNL season.
