Iganga based side Orange Block Busters, OBB thrash army side Airforce volleyball club as both teams serve off their round 2.

Airforce returns for the National Volleyball League round 2 with very low spirits as they devastatingly lose to OBB 3-0. The Orage Block Busters, OBB on the other hand continue their quest for success as a new top-flight entrant into National Volleyball League Men’s Serie A.

This 3-straight sets win and very huge set points difference is a good result for OBB in terms of criteria for table rankings for the fact that Nemo Stars did not produce the best result against Nkumba. the Orange Block Busters will now pose a threat for Sport-S as they stand in second place waiting for any chance for the latter to lose a game.

A loss for Sport-S will be an added advantage for OBB but this is not something that the boys from Iganga should expect to happen easily. Nevertheless, OBB will have their work cut when they face Nemo and Sport-S. The round 1 encounter against Sport-S did not go in their favour and still again the victory picked from Nemo Stars means the Uganda volleyball will come back better prepared for OBB in round 2.

As for Airforce, It is very clear that with this performance they will most definitely return to the Men’s Serie B. Fellow relegation battlers UCU seem to have put up a better fight against University side Ndejje in the match that ended 3-0 in favour of the latter. Note that the return of Emma Kato from injury is a massive boost in the Ndejje camp.

On the women’s side, league favourites Ndejje Elites continue their unbeaten run with a win against UCU 3-0 in the opening match of round 2.
