Happy first year anniversary to the North Irish football manager from Lisburn. Jonathan McKinstry has coached in several countries, including, Northern Ireland, England, USA, Ghana, Sierra Leone, Rwanda, Lithuania, Bangladesh and Uganda. He has held international roles in Sierra Leone, Rwanda and Uganda. He is the first-ever North Irish man to coach three nations

Sierra Leone.

Jonathan Mckinstry became the youngest international head coach in the world after he was appointed as manager of Sierra Leone in 2013. Sierra Leone achieved their highest FIFA ranking under the North Irish man. He was later sacked in 2014 following defeats during a period when the country was banned from hosting games because of 2014 Ebola Outbreak.

Rwanda.

In 2015 Mckinstry was named head coach of the Rwanda football national team. He was crowned Coach of the Tournament after Rwanda finished as Runners-up in the CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup 2015. He helped Rwanda stand in 1st place of Group A in of the CAF African Nations Championships. Rwanda also defeated Mauritius 5–0 in Kigali but later in 2016, McKinstry was dismissed as head coach.

Uganda (Currently)

Happy first year anniversary to Jonathan Mckinstry as he makes one year as the Uganda football National team Head Coach. He signed the deal after leaving Bangaladesh club Saif FC. The North Irish man has guided the team in 10 games with 9 wins, 1 draw and no loses so far. He also led the country to win the CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup 2019 hosted in Kampala.
