SC Villa Take New Stand To Strengthen The Club In A Declaration Made At A Press Conference Held At Sheraton Kampala Hotel Ballroom.

SC Villa one of the most successful clubs in Uganda has today in a press release declared there plans to have the club become even more successful. “In 1975, we started a football club composed of boys in the areas of Nakivubo but little did we know that we were giving birth to the most successful club in the history of Ugandan Football. We are here today to witness history and also inform our people, fans and the general public that Sports Club Villa hereby becomes the first modern-day Community Football Club in Uganda,” a statement by the founding members. 

In a statement released by FUFA this year that indicates club ownership in Uganda, SC Villa and Express emerged as the only Community Clubs.

SC Villa are record champions with 16 titles to their name and at a press conference today, they have declared plans to how the club stands strong going forward. The club will be regulated by the following structure:

The Club Congress: 120 persons that shall be the legislative body of the club composed of paid-up Villa Trust Members.

The Club Executive Board: 11 persons that shall be the executive body of the club composed of paid-up Club Congress Members. 

The Club President: 1 person that shall be elected every four years.

The Club CEO: employed on contract.

The club launched the Villa Members Trust Club where members will be required to pay an inaugural fee of 50,000 UGX which will also be the annual membership fee. The trust will be launched on 30th October with an office at Industrial Area Plot 3 Channel close where registration will take place till 31st December 2020. There will also be a fans meet up on 8th November.

With the new direction, the club is headed back to the roots of Community Ownership.

“We believe that this will revitalise our greatness. We do hope that it will give impetus to the zeal that our fans have exhibited and will scale s to bigger heights,” said William Nkemba.

“This move will give us direct engagement with the actual owners of the club (fans), through registration, we shall be able to gather information about them, and have their input,” he added.
