Espoir BBC stunned a lowly Titans

Espoir BBC defeated  Kigali Titans, who dropped their fifth straight league game, with ease.

Espoir BBC are on their best roll of the season after they beat the Titans to make it eight straight victories on the back of 21 points from Olivier Turatsinze and 16 from Yamin Niyubahwe.

Olivier Turatsinze had 21 points, four assists and five steals. while Yamin Niyubahwe scored 16 off the bench as Espoir BBC beat the Titans 87-74 on Friday night in LDK gymnasium.

Francis Azolibe led Titans with 24 points, 12 rebounds, 5 assists and four blocks. Josue Tuyishime scored 20 points and Ryan Ntwali added 13 for the Titans, who fell for the fifth time in a row in the Rwanda Basketball League.

In this game, Espoir Shot 43% overall and made 37 of 85 attempts from field goal and they were 8 of 13 at the free throw line, outscoring the Titans who had 25-73 from field goal.

K Titans truly gave the game away last night due to lack of contribution by their bench and a few starters. The bench contributed only 8 points as they only used 8 players in 40 minutes.

Thierry Munyeshuri and Pierre Vandriesshe were there, watching from the stand, and the latter, along with Alvaro Masa, appeared on the APR squad that played a friendly game against REG on Wednesday.

Espoir BBC is on an eight-win run since February 12, when they lost 76-70 to REG. They are currently second on stands with 13-3 and have IPRC Huye on road in the next outings.
