Tunisia claims the number 1 spot in Group A after defeating the Central African Republic.

Tunisia is now head of Group A in the FIBA Afrobasket 2021 Qualifiers Kigali window after winning all their 3 games. This group holds three other nations namely, Congo DR 2nd place, Central African Republic 3rd place, and Madagascar in 4th place.

In Today’s match, the opponent, the Central African Republic did not make it easy for Tunisia at the end of the halftime break when the score was 40-39 in favor of the latter. Tunisia made a substantial gain in points to open the gap between the two sides to make 72-51. The least points in the entire game came from the 4th quarter where Tunisia made only 8 and the Central African Republic made 12 points to end the match 80-63.

However, the most standing performer came from the losing side, Allan Julien Dokossi played 22 minutes, made 16 points, 11 rebounds, and an efficiency of 22, the best in the game. Omar Abada lead Tunisia as their top performers

The competition system is that twenty teams will participate under five groups in two international windows and the top 3 teams from each group will qualify to the FIBA AfroBaset 2021 to be held in Kigali. Rwanda has an automatic entry ticket since they are the hosts of the tournament.
