Basketball 101 is all Uganda had to say to Cape Verde after they registered the first 3 digit score of the FIBA AfroBasket 2021 Qualifiers Alexandria Window.

It was a no playing matter for Uganda as they faced Cape Verde in their closing tournament match of the Alexandria window. Uganda ended the 3rd quarter 2 points behind and it seemed like Cape Verde could easily snatch the win.

Cape Verde continued in the lead through the 4th quarter until Tonny Drileba‘s 2 point jump shot brought the two sides square at 89-89. At this point, the SIlverbacks were determined to take the lead until 101 points to clinch a historic win for Uganda.

Small Forward Ishmail Wainright and Point Guard Jimmy Enabu were quite instrumental in guiding the Silverbacks to this 101 points win. The Small Forward had the most time on court of 36 minutes, made 36 points, and picked 13 rebounds with an efficiency of 51 the highest we have seen in this Tournament. Jimmy Enabu was second behind Wainright as the top performers for Uganda.
