Junior Wasps Squad For CECAFA U-17 is Named

Rwasamanzi named Junior Wasps squad to start preps for CECAFA U-17.

Rwanda U-17 head coach, Yves Rwasamanzi summoned a 37-boy squad to start the preparations ahead of CECAFA U-17 scheduled for November 13th-21th, 2020 in Rwanda.

The squad called is dominated by Rwanda National Team U15 that finished 3rd in CECAFA U15 in 2019 and was led by the same man, Yves Rwasamanzi. The latter will lead the team with the help of Gatera Moussa as an assistant coach and Calliope Kabarisa as the goal-keeping coach.

Rwanda belongs in Group A with Eritrea and South Sudan. The games will be played at Huye and Umuganda Stadiums.

CECAFA U-17 Groups:

Group A: Rwanda, Eritrea, South Sudan

Group B: Uganda, Ethiopia, Kenya

Group C: Sudan, Djibouti, Tanzania

CECAFA U-17 Serves as Qualifiers of Africa Cup of Nations U-17. Tanzania is the defending champion, the last edition was held in Burundi in 2018
