Central Forward Ivan Bogere made immense accomplishments at the wrapped-up CECAFA U20 tournament.
Ivan Bogere was particularly involved for his side when his keen eye for the goal bolstered Uganda to advance through the different stages of the tournament. The lad is a football prodigy whose geniuses have provoked excitement and admiration among Ugandan fans.
Ivan scored two against Burundi in the group stages, another two goals against Kenya in the semi-finals, and one goal against Tanzania in the final in which Uganda was declared reigning champions. He could have easily made the tally of 6 but missed a penalty awarded in the final. For that matter, the youngster topped the goal charts with a total of 5 goals scored
Bringing the trophy home and also being awarded top scorer of the tournament adds to the accolade the youngster already enjoys to his name. In addition to all that, he walked away with prize money worth 1000 US dollars.
