UVF Atones Candidates For The Time Lost During Internet Shut Down.

Uganda volleyball governing body UVF has pushed the deadline dates for the submission of candidate nomination forms.

The country on the 14th of January 2021 decided on the new head of state for 2021 through to 2026. The activities lead to the shutdown of the internet country which affected the submission process.

UVF in a letter today informed the Uganda Volleyball Federation fraternity that by reason of the inconveniences originating from the shut down, forms will be handed in at a later date other than the now belated date of 15th January 2021.

The internet was shut down on the 13th January a day prior to the country’s presidential elections and for that matter, candidates submitting their nomination form plus affiliates sending delegate lists have been allowed 2 days making 20th January 2021 the new closing date.

The upcoming Elective Congress will see the new executives who will be tasked to run volleyball activities for the new term. Below are the various posts contested in the elections

  • President
  • 1st Vise President
  • 2nd Vise President
  • General Secretary
  • Assistant General Secretary
  • Treasurer
  • Club Representatives (3)
  • District Associations Representative (3)
