Taifa Stars Off To A Needy Start In The Total CHAN Tournament

Tanzania’s Taifa Stars made a poor start at the CHAN championship after recording a 2-0 defeat against Zambia.

The match started with a boring 1st half but later on, after the break, Lusaka Dynamo’s duo, Collins Sikomba, and Emmanuel Chabula handed Zambia’s Chipolopolo maximum points in their opening match of Group D at the African Nations Championship in Cameroon.

Taifa Stars head coach, Etienne Ndayiragije did not have the services of his captain John Bocco who was out because of injury. Zambia on the other hand with head coach Milutin Sredojevic, who has coaching in the championship for the third time, was eager to bag 3 points. Milutin had mentioned before the game that Zambia’s actions will speak louder than words against the Taifa Stars.

Tanzania faces Namibia on 23rd January 2021 while Chipolopolo will play against Guinea. If Zambia wins, they will continue to the quarter-final stage of the tournament.
