KCCA FC Defender Linked With a Move to APR FC

Rwandan League titleholders, APR FC have expressed an interest in the services of KCCA FC defender Kato this website has learned.

Samuel Kato Nemeyimana, born in Uganda to a Rwandan father and Ugandan mother in 1998, is a center back who also plays right back. Despite playing for the Uganda’s U-17, he is yet to represent Uganda at a senior level.

Late last year in November, the young defender expressed his desire to play for Rwanda. He was praised by Rwandan football fans at the CECAFA Kagame Cup and as a result APR FC have stepped in to bid for the lad.

Rwanda’s record league winners APR FC have already named Argentine Pablo Morchon as assistant coach who will aid Moroccan tactician Mohammed Erradi. New signings, including Yannick Bizimana from rivals Rayon Sports, Keddy Nsanzimfura from Kiyovu, Ndayishimiye Dieudonne and Ruboneka Jean Bosco from AS Muhanga have also joined the team as the title holders aim to a historic outcome at CAF Champions League group stage qualification next season.

APR FC have won 18 league titles, 14 Peace Cups and CECAFA Kagame Cup 3 times.
