URA FC extended their league lead with two convincing goals.

URA FC goals came from former Uganda cranes midfielder Brian Majwega who converted from a spot-kick inside just 10mins and club captain Shafik Kagimu Kuchi who scored at the half-hour mark to give the tax collectors a comfortable win against the Ankole Lions in Luwero Ndejje University Visions of Arena.

Mbarara City FC defender Ibrahim Magandaazi brought URA FC down speed merchant Joachim Ojera in the box and the referee had no option but to point to the spot-kick. Brian Majwega converted sending Elungat the wrong way.

Moses Sseruyidde free-kick went over the bar across the goal. Ojera was at it again and tested busy Elungat with a well-taken shot but was well saved.

Mbarara City FC almost got an equalizer through Swalik Bebe in the 47th minute but his shot was stopped by Huud Muliki.

Shafik Kagimu Kuchi leading as an example in the 60th minute extended the lead putting a shot past Elungat who was well beaten after a sloppy defence by City Fc defenders. Hannington Ssebwalunyo extended his tally of a clean sheet.

And in Masindi municipal stadium. Kitara FC run riot against Kyetume FC and gave home fans much joy putting 4 goals past inconsistent slaughters.

This was Kitara FC’s 2nd league win and their 2nd at home after being cleared by FUFA’s stadium clearance committee to their new Masindi Municipal Stadium after joining a fortnight ago.

The convincing striker Nathan Oloro scored all 4 goals.
