The women’s African Nation’s Volleyball Championship for the juniors under the age of 20 new dates set for February 18th – 26th and Uganda still hold hosting rights.
The volleyball governing body of Africa, CAVB has in a statement on their official website announced the new dates for this U20 women’s competition and Uganda has been entrusted by the body to host the games.
The competition was initially scheduled to be played between 4th and 13th December 2020 but CAVB decided to suspend all its activities last in a bid to align them with the FIVB calendar. The decision mentioned above also came at a transitional time when the new President, Bouhra Hajij was being handed CAVB Office.
Uganda Volleyball Federation UVF is also in the process of transition from the old to the new Board Of Administration — election set for Sunday, 31st January 2021. The new dates will mean that the new executives will have to swiftly plan how they will host the U20 African Nation’s Volleyball Championship.
The competition calendar states that teams will arrive on 18th February, the technical meeting will be held on 19th February, Competition dates: 20th to 25th February 2021, and teams will be expected to depart on 26th February 2021.
The winners of the 2020 Women’s U20 African Nation’s Volleyball Championship will represent Africa at the 2021 FIVB U20 World Championship.
