AFRIYEA Golf Academy to host a juniors championship event that will attract junior players from around the country.
The tournament is aimed to show case the progress of the kids training in golf to parents, guardians, coaches, ambassadors, and well-wishers. The championship will draw the attention of over 89 students all over the country including Nsubuga Godfrey with his company from Lugazi, Kasese Sports Club, Mbarara Sports Club, and Masindi.
The championship was initially set for 22nd January 2021, but will be played at a later date that will communicated through the academy. The CEO AFRIYEA Golf Academy, Isaiah Mwesige mentioned the reason for the postponement being that Entebbe Club also has a juniors championship tournament on the same date to allow the young players the chance to participate in both the championships.
Damian Asiimwe who has had a distinguished performance at recent tournament is hungry to add to his accolades. “I am hurt by the news of the postponement of the tournament but I am confident that I am going to use the time to practice more on bunker shots,” said Damian.
