Yeni-Malatyaspor’s recently two acquisitions Ndizeye and Nshimirimana made a bench debut in their first appearance for the club.

Two Burundian Internationals, Eric Ndizeye from Musongati and Jospin Nshimirimana from Aigle Noir, who signed a three and a half-year deal with Turkey’s top tier league team, Yeni-Malatyaspor last week, were unused substitutions in their first match against Goztepe.

It was in the 22nd round of the Turkish SuperLiga that ended with a 2-2 draw for Yeni-Malatyaspor against Goztepe. This was the first game for these Burundian boys who were on the 18-player squad list though, after the ninety minutes of the match, none of them set foot on the playing ground.

The lads came to this team after trials when Yeni-Malatyaspor was satisfied with the services of midfielder Yussuf Nyange Ndayishimiye for a year, thereafter selling him for 2.15 million euros to Istanbul Basaksehir. The team returned to Burundi to give trials to three young talented lads. Among the three players tried, Piclaire Irakoze from Olympic star was not as fortunate as his peers.
