Dieudonné Ndizeye’s 19 points not enough as Cobra fall to Ferroviario de Beira.

Cobra Sport fell to Ferroviario de Beira, 76-46 in Elite 16 Round of the Basketball Africa League game one played at Wembley Stadium in Johannesburg. Rwanda International, Dieudonné Ndizeye Ndayisaba knocked down a game-high 19 points. Unfortunately, not enough for Cobra to beat Ferroviario de Beira.

Things looked promising at the break where the South Sudan flag bearers trailed by one point, 35-34, however, the Mozambicans come out stronger in the third quarter and humiliated their opponent for the rest of the game.

Ferroviario utilized their size advantage and capitalized on fast break opportunities to forge a 41-12 commanding run in last two periods to seal the game victory, 20-6 and 21-6 third and fourth quarters respectively to end the game with 76-46.

Dieudonné Ndizeye scored a game-high 19 points (4 3PM) while former UCU forward, David Kongor Deng contributed 17 points in 30 minutes spent on court.

In this game, Ferroviario had 4 different players scoring in double figures. Helton Ubisse dropped 17 Pts, William Perry scored 16 while Ismael Nurmamade and Ayad Munguambe added 14 and 10 respectively.

Ndizeye, a usual Patriots player who featured in the first BAL edition and helped the Rwandan side finish fourth, after missing out on Rwanda Basketball League tiitle, together with his team mate, Bush Wamukota decided to join South Cobra for a short time spell to help them qualify to BAL second edition.
