Gor Mahia To Tout After FIFA Absolves Four Players To Feature In The Squad.
World Football Governing body FIFA absolves four players that have recently joined Kenyan football giants Gor Mahia FC. In accordance with a FIFA regulation player transfers between teams of different countries require an International Transfer Certificate. The regulations state that Players registered at one association may only be registered at a new association once the latter has received an International Transfer Certificate ITC from the former association.
Four new signings for titleholders Gor Mahia as they prepare for the forthcoming league have been cleared by FIFA.
Players Include:
- Tito Okello (South Sudanese) from Vipers, Uganda.
- Jules Ulimwengu (Burundian) from Rayon Sports, Rwanda.
- Bertrand Konfor (Cameroonian) Al Mudhabi, Oman.
- John Macharia (Kenyan) FC Guria Lanchkhuti’s, Georgia.
“This is good for me because it feels good to train with a team knowing well you are free to play in any competitive match. Now, I have to work… and work hard to achieve the best at my new club,” said Macharia.
Gor Mahia will represent Kenya in the CAF Champions League this campaign. The ITC allows the team to register the new players at CAF for continental duties. The registration window opens on October 21st.
With the FKF set to kick off Saturday, November 21st, 2020, Gor Mahia will face former league champions in their first 5 fixtures.
- 21st November Tusker Vs Gor Mahia.
- 28th November Gor Mahia Vs Ulinzi Stars.
- 5th December Mathare United Vs Gor Mahia.
- 9th December Gor Mahia Vs Sofapaka.
- 13th December Bidco United Vs Gor Mahia.
Gor Mahia started their training in preparation the upcoming new league campaign and also for the interclub continental competitions earlier than all other league teams after the government lifted a ban on sports in the country.
