The FAU website confirmed that the new FSL 2020/2021 season will start early May in a new format at the newest state of art Futsal Arena.
The new format will see clubs grouped into two. Group A and Group B.
According to FAU chairman Mr Ibrahim Mugerwa there are 3 competitions that will be held for calendar 2020/2021. Futsal Super League FSL, Futsal Uganda cup and Futsal super cup.
The new season will kick off Saturday 01st May 2021 at Old Kampala Sports Arena.
Due to the new normal, only a limited number of fans will be allowed to attend. And all games shall be streaming live with Deep End sports Media after partnering with FAU.
Group A:
Mengo Fc.
Aidenal Fc.
SOSA Fc.
Big talent Fc.
Kampala Junior team Fc.
Group B.
Park Fc.
Kisenyi Fc.
Yeak Kabowa Fc.
Synergy Fc.
There will be playoffs for the top 2 clubs in a semi-final format on a home and away basis to determine the finalists and also playoffs to determine 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th placed clubs.
FUTSAL UGANDA CUP:
The competition will only be played by the 8 clubs in FSL starting with the quarter-final stage.
FUTSAL SUPER CUP.
The winner of FSL will battle with champions of the Futsal Uganda Cup for the FSC trophy and gold medals.
