Espoir FC defeated Police FC 2-0 in an away match as Tresor Ndikumana and Yves Habimana scored for the Rusizi football side in a Wednesday lunchtime match at Kigali Stadium.

Following an impressive win last weekend in Eastern province, Police FC took a massive blow in Tuesday’s lunchtime match with the cops slumping a 2-0 home defeat from Espoir FC.

Former Gasogi United midfielder, Tresor Ndikumana scored the opener with a phenomenal shot in the 73rd minute, before Yves Habimana doubled their lead just 2 minutes to the end of the 90 minutes to hand Mousa Gatera’s side the first 3 points of the season. It was an amazing performance from the Rusizi based club

Gatera, who started this season with a shocking loss against AS Kigali had the teamwork at its best as they were considered underdog in this match.

In other games, Rayon Sports were held at Umuganda Stadium by Rutsiro while APR, Bugesera and Gicumbi recorded home victories against Musanze, Etincelles and Etoile de l’Est respectively.

With one week into the Primus National League season, it comes to a halt due to the international break. The league shall resume after two weeks.
