Rayon Sports head coach Guy Bukasa has bid farewell to the club’s players and staff after a 1-0 defeat to APR FC in the Rwanda Primus League.

APR FC’s only goal against Rayon Sports in the Rwandan Derby was enough to separate the two arch-rivals with Anicet Ishimwe coming off the bench in the 87th minute to make a difference.

Ishimwe scored off a good ball from Lague Byiringiro a minute after his introduction. Byiringiro had also replaced Keddy Nsanzimfura after the break.

Derby games always leave behind victims. Guy Bukasa, who has been guiding Rayon Sports since July 2020, decided to step down after a poor run of performances.

Rayon Sports under Bukasa this season, in 11 games played, have recorded 3 wins, 5 draws, and 3 defeats.

Bukasa resigned two games before the end of the season. Guy Bakira, who was his assistant, has also decided to follow the decision of his boss. The team will communicate who will take over in the last two games to conclude the 2021 Primus League season.
