Gaffer Mike Mutebi the former player and coach for Kcca FC agreed to terminate the contract by mutual consent.
In a press release letter dated 29th march 2021, the club and coach agreed by mutual consent to terminate the coach’s employment with immediate effect.
Coach Mike Mutebi under his 5year stint with KCCA FC had won 3 league titles, 2 Uganda cups, 4 super cups, 1 CECAFA Club championships making him the most successful manager the club has ever had.
Meanwhile, the club confirmed to media that assistant coach Morley Bwekwaso who has had a successful stint with U20 in Mauritania reaching finals takes over as interim manager.
Mike has not only won trophies for KCCA FC but also played good football which he liked calling our way and also developed national team material players such as Mo Shaban, Allan Okello, Mustafa Kizza, Charles Lukwago. His love for young talent is so huge that he would field an average team of 22-year-olds in Uganda Premier League games.
Rumour has it that he might be replacing sacked Uganda Cranes coach Jonathan Mckinstry for cranes first-team coach role. KCCA FC wished the gaffer all the best in his future endeavours.
