This transfer window comes with 49 transfer requests, 40 approved and 9 waiting for approval. Nkumba releases 8 players.
The transfer list was released today on the Uganda Volleyball Federation official Facebook page.
Top-flight league new entrants Orange Block Buster from the men’s made a statement in this transfer window when they requested to have 7 players join the side. 6 have been approved with 1 still pending citing the reason that Ivan Ongom Bob has a contract that runs till October in Rwanda.
KAVC and Espoir from the women’s clubs will receive the biggest number. Unfortunately, Nkumba has been affected the most, releasing 8 players from both men and women’s teams. It should be expected that Nkumba will most likely fill the gaps with fresh young players.
As for the other players with status pending, SOC commented that the transfers will be approved after mediation between the parties involved.
