Police FC Miss Top 4 Spot At End Of The First Leg

Police FC

Police FC lost 4th league game as they succumbed to resilient Express FC which puts them one place shy of the top 4 at the end of the first round.

Police Fc has lost only 2 games at home, MTN Omondi stadium. Eric Kambale scored the only goal of the game in the 74th minute after Police FC’s defence failed to clear from a corner. Eric jumped so high past skipper Denis Rukundo to head that ball that hit the crossbar and hit the back of the net.

League top performer Brian Murili Mayanja failed to add to his tally as he was substituted in the 70th minute. Skipper Denis Rukundo in an interview after the game said they are still in the title race, blamed referee Mashood and the weather conditions after a heavy downpour made the artificial tuff soggy that couldn’t allow them to play their free-flowing football.

Express FC skipper said they are still in the title race too and that they are all set for the second round of the league that is due early April.

In other game, UPDF Fc played to a goalless draw at Military grounds Bombo Luwero. They couldn’t find a net after playing good football with Coach Kefa Kisala facing off with his former masters Wakiso giants that sacked him early last season. Coach Daglas Bamweyana stopped him from playing his style.

In other matches, tomorrow champions Vipers SC welcome KCCA FC at St. Mary’s stadium Kitenge in a mouth-watering encounter as the league is entering round two come early April. Coach Fred Kajoba in a pre-game interview confirmed to the media that he will field his strong hungry side to outplay free-flowing football for KCCA FC. Mbarara City FC will host BUL FC after appointing coach Livingstone Mbabazi for a second stint at Kakyeka based club.
