Primus National League resume after the International break

Rwanda’s Primus National League resumes today after a fortnight from the International break as Police FC take on Rayon Sports at Bugesera Stadium at 3:30 pm local time in a shock of playoffs match-day 3

It’s a huge clash in the race for a top spot of the Primus National League in a group of eight teams that are battling for the league title. Both Police FC and Rayon Sports have 3 points in 2 games and share the same goal difference. Rayon will miss the services of goalkeeper Olivier Kwizera and forwards Manasse Mutatu, and Drissa Dagnog

The cops will be without left-back Eric Rutanga for the accumulation of many yellow cards. However, Police welcome back their left-back, Jean Marie Muvandimwe who has been sidelined for almost a year.

Bugesera FC hosts the defending champions APR FC in today’s early kickoff. Bugesera will be relying on on-form Alain Kwitonda who was a part of the Rwanda National team that beat the Central Africa Republic in International friendly games.

Elsewhere, AS Kigali who got off to a flying start of the Primus National League and currently occupies first place, take on Rutsiro in an away game at Umuganda Stadium. Rutsiro FC are just 3 points below AS Kigali

In the group of teams that are playing to avoid relegation, Jean de Dieu Mateso will be leading Mukura Victory Sports for the first time this season following the suspension of the head coach Rodolpho Zapata.

Mukura lock horns with Etincelles in a must-win game to keep the hopes of staying in the top flight league next season
