2021 Afrobasket Qualifiers: Nigeria’s Rasheed Sulaimon will not feature in the Kigali window.

Nigerian shooting guard who currently plays in Spain for Casademont Zaragoza, won’t participate in 2021 Afrobasket Qualifiers Group D first window scheduled in Kigali due to an injury that will rule him out of the court for up to 8 weeks. He has a torn muscle in his left abdomen and leg wound.

Sulaimon was named in the 20-man roster announced by Coach Mike Brown early this month to feature in the games scheduled from November 25th. Ike Diogu as the team captain will lead Nigeria D’Tigers. Also in the list called, the 2015 NBA winner with Golden State Warriors, Festus Ezeli will be in the squad that will travel to Kigali alongside the former Detroit Pistons, Mike Gbinije.

The Tigers will have to be in Kigali before November 23rd so that they can have the final training Sessions before they face South Sudan, Rwanda and Mali on 26th, 27th and 28th November respectively.
