This was a meeting of two sides that couldn’t afford to lose bearing in mind the fine form of second placed SC Kiyovu and APR that can reclaim the first spot if they manage to beat Etincelles FC.
Recent history meant that Gasogi came into this fixture confident. And this time both were ranked third and fourth, sharing the same amount of points. However, Cameroonian forward Willy Essomba Onana was to prove key in the match and scored the two needed goals to take all three points and walk away with Derby bragging rights.
