REG BBC dominated the Tigers 85-61, securing their fifth straight win and handing the Tigers their third consecutive loss in the Rwanda Basketball League (RBL).

 

Rwanda Energy Group kept their winning streak alive with a victory over the Tigers on February 9 at Petit Stade. 

Three-time RBL champions REG took control with a dominant 34-12 third quarter, outmatching a revamped Tigers team.

Five REG players hit double digits: Boissy, Thomas (14), Shyaka, Nshizirungu (11), and Umuhoza (10). Boissy shined with 12 rebounds, 8 assists, and a strong all-around game in just 24 minutes.

Tigers’ Nickelberry David Emre nearly had a triple-double with 19 points, 13 rebounds, and 7 assists, but REG’s depth made the difference, with their bench outscoring the Tigers’ 37-19.

REG’s win extends their streak to five games, placing them second behind APR, who also stand at 5-0.

Meanwhile, the Tigers now stand at 1-3, suffering consecutive losses to REG, APR, and the Patriots.

They will look to bounce back when they face Kepler on February 14 at LDK.

The Electricians will return to action in the RBL on March 7 after the national team commitments.
