2022 FIFA WCQ: Rwanda coach names provisional squad for last two games against Mali and Kenya

Rwanda national team boss Vincent Mashami has summoned a 31-man provisional squad for their upcoming 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers this month.

Amavubi is expected to hold a residential camp at the Sainte Famille Hotel this Friday, November 5, 2021, while the training sessions will take place at Kigali Stadium.

Rwanda’s Amavubi is yet to get a win in 2022 FIFA World Cup Group E qualifiers after a draw to Kenya and three losses against Mali and Uganda (2).

Rwanda will host Mali on November 11th before facing Kenya away four days later.

The group winners will qualify for the final round where they will be drawn into five home and away ties. The winners of each tie will advance to the World Cup finals.

Provisional squad:

Goalkeepers: Emery Mvuyekure (Tusker, Kenya), Clement Buhake Twizere (Strommen IF, Norway), Eric Ndayishimiye (Police FC), and Fiacre Ntwali (AS Kigali).

Defenders: Denis Rukundo (AS Kigali), Marc Nkubana (Gasogi United), Emmanuel Imanishimwe (FAR Rabat, Morocco), Eric Rutanga (Police FC), Salomon Nirisarike (Urartu FC, Armenia), Thierry Manzi (FC Dila Gori, Georgia), Clement Niyigena (Rayon Sports FC) and Ali Serumogo (SC Kiyovu).

Midfielders: Djihad Bizimana (KMSK Deinze, Belgium), Kevin Muhire (Rayon Sports), Rafael York (AFC Eskilstuna, Sweden), Olivier Niyonzima (AS Kigali), Djabel Manishimwe (APR FC), Blaise Nishimwe (Rayon Sports), Jean Bosco Ruboneka (APR FC), Bryan Clovis Ngwabije (SC Lyon, France), Jean Philippe Rutabayiru (S.D.
