The top division football championship in Tanzania has started. Day 1 matches were played on Sunday, September 6, 2020. kicking off with Namungo hosting Coastal Union at Majaliwa Stadium, the match ended with a lone goal score win for Namungo scored by Burundian striker Blaise Bigirimana.
New promoted side, Ihefu hosted Simba in Mbeya City, and the champions welcomed them in premier league with a 2-1 win thanks to Bocco and Yassin while the home team’s goal was scored by Omary Mponda signed this year from relegated side Ndanda.
