Nsambya based women’s volleyball club, Sport-S yesterday strengthened their place at the play-offs of the National Volleyball League after a tremendous performance against an experienced Ndejje Elites.

Sport-S Ladies Volleyball Club now moves into the top spot after defeating ruthless Ndejje Elites in what a tension-packed encounter yesterday at Sport-S Arena. Coming into the match, the Luwero based side was favourite to win given their track record of numerous wins.

Nevertheless, the Nsambya ladies were more than determined to prove the Elites and claim dominance of the Uganda Volleyball realm just like their brother, the men’s side is doing in the men’s league.

Ndejje Elites was not far from repeating a win against robust VVC in their previous encounter at OLD KAMPALA ARENA where they narrowly lost the match. However, due to experience and composure, the VVC fell to the Elites of Luwero.

Sport-S on the other hand proved to the Elites that they are a better side and Ndejje should come play-offs, the former will be a force to be reckoned with.

Proceeding ended 3-2 (18-25, 25-16, 25-17, 22-25, 16-14) in favour of Sport-S.

The top 3 in the table to a greater extent have secured spots in the National Volleyball League Play-offs making it a tricky game for KCB-Nkumba and KCCA to fight for that 4th spot.
