OVERVIEW
The Council for East and Central Africa Football Associations (CECAFA) is an assciation of football playing nations in Central and East African comprising of (Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, South Sudan, Sudan, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Zanzibar, Somalia, Rwanda, Burundi and Djibouti)
CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup is one of the oldest football tournaments in Africa.
This year, the competition was hosted in Uganda with nine nations participating split into two groups A and B.
Group A: Uganda, Eritrea, Somalia, Djibouti and Burundi.
Group B: Kenya, Tanzania, Sudan and Zanzibar.
Hosts Uganda were crowned champions for the 15th time after defeating Eritrea 3-0 at Lugogo Stadium.
