Uganda National Volleyball League Top Tier League Team Number Goes Down.

Uganda National Volleyball League

The Men’s and Women’s Uganda National Volleyball League Serie A season 2021/2022 will see the number of participating teams reduce by almost half.

Season 2021/2022 of the Uganda National Volleyball League will have a lower number of competitors participating in the top-tier Serie A for both the women’s and men’s leagues.

Previously the women’s league only had one tier but this will change come season 2021/2022 of the Uganda National Volleyball League where two tiers have been created, Serie A and Serie B.

The creation of a lower-tier will most definitely bring more competition to the women league as teams in the top tier will clash to avoid relegation and also lower-tier teams will want to join the top guns.

KCB Nkumba-A is the titleholder after defeating KCCA in the playoffs final in 2019 at the MTN Arena.

Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic headache, Uganda Volleyball Federation rolled out an activity calendar that describes the Uganda National Volleyball League to begin mid-September. The men’s national team is out in Rwanda for the African National Volleyball Championships which will run through September.

Chances are that the men’s top-tier league may be delayed due to participating team players being out for national duty. This may not be a reason to delay the other Series.

Expectantly the league starts as scheduled as it has been a long while since fans witnessed action from one of the most entertaining leagues in the country.
