Uganda is gearing up to host one of the most prestigious volleyball events in the region—the CAVB Zone V Volleyball Club Championship.
Scheduled from February 16 to February 23, 2025, the tournament will take place at the iconic Lugogo Indoor Stadium in Kampala, setting the stage for a thrilling week of regional volleyball action.
This announcement by the CAVB Zone V Executive Committee designates Kampala as the host city for the annual championship, organized in collaboration with the Uganda Volleyball Federation. The event signifies a historic moment for Uganda, as it will be the first major regional volleyball competition under the leadership of Sadik Nasiwu, who became CAVB Zone V President in 2024, succeeding Rwanda’s Fernand Ruterana.

The championship will kick off with team arrivals and a technical meeting on February 16, followed by six days of intense competition from February 17 to February 22. Teams will depart on February 23, concluding the event.
The tournament will feature the top three teams from each of the 12 CAVB Zone V member countries, with defending champions allowed to send four teams.
