17-year-old Andrew Kawooya was unveiled by KCCA on Sunday on their show via Sanyuka TV despite claims by Vipers that the midfielder was still under a minor contract with the team, claims KCCA dismissed saying the player was not under any contract by the time they signed him.
A similar situation has happened before when Vipers signed Express FC captain Disan Galiwango for which the Eagles claimed the player profaned his contract. After the football governing body, FUFA intervened, the player was ordered to indemnify his former club for breaking contract regulations.
Vipers Director Haruna Kyobe says the club will seek FUFA’s intervention into the matter and also stating that “He is still our player.”
“That is despising of the highest order. He is our kid and his parents have consented that. We have a minor contract with him,” Kyobe told The-SportsNation
As KCCA try to reclaim the title from rivals Vipers, 11 new players have joined the Kasasiro boys side in preparation for the 2020/21 league.
