BKBNL Champions Patriots have extended the contract of their pillar players and also signed Hitayezu from RP-IPRC Kigali.
The champions are strengthening the squad ahead of the preparations for the 2021 Championship and the final games of the Basketball Africa League on dates that have not yet been announced.
Among the players that have extended their contracts are;
- Kenya international Wamukota Bush. The 2.13 m center signed a 2-year contract stay.
- Steven Hagumintwari, 27 years old Rwandan forward who arrived at the club in 2017 from RP-IPRC Kigali extended his contracts for 2 years.
- 2018/2019 BKBNL Most Valuable Player, Dieudonne Ndizeye Ndayisaba. One of the club’s top scorers in last 2 seasons, signed a two-year contract extension. He joined this basketball club in 2017 from RP-IPRC Kigali too.
- Burundian International Guibert Nijimbere, who had been playing for the club for a year, also extended his contract another two years with the club.
The Patriots seem to be lucky enough as they once again approach RP-IPRC Kigali to acquires the services of yet another player, the big man, Leonard Hitayezu. He signed a 3-year contract.
Patriots, 4 times Rwanda Basketball National League champions are boosting their squad in preparation to be Rwanda flag bearers and East Africa representative in the inaugural Basketball Africa League (BAL).
