After losing points in various games, the Young Africans management has decided to fire the head coach Cedric Kaze and his technical bench.
Cedric Kaze, who had been with this Dar es Saalam based club for 5 months, was able to secure 1 victory in the last 5 games of the VPL, including a historical loss against the Coastal Union that put pressure on him.
In the statement released on Sunday, the leadership of Yanga decided to sack the head coach with his technical bench
“Yanga has officially parted ways with Head Coach Cedric Kaze, Assistant Coach – Nizar Halfan, Physical Coach – Edem Mortolsi, Goalkeeping Coach – Vladimir Niyonkuru and Club Security Officer Mussa Mahundi. Yanga Club thanks them for their performance during their service to the Club and we wish them all the best,” said the statement.
They ended the statement urging the Fans and Members to remain calm in this period where they are making efforts to get a new Technical bench.
Kaze has left Yanga in first place with 50 points followed by Simba with 45 points with 4 games in hand.
Tanzanian clubs are known to be reluctant to fire coaches in case of low productivity. Kaze joined the team in October 2020 to replace Serbian Zlatko Krmpotić, who had started the season but failed to convince the management of the club.
